Serve with a fluffy bowl of mashed potatoes, rice or roasted potatoes and a salad and you have an incredible meal.  Enjoy! <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/stirmypot.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/100_45231.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/stirmypot.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/100_45231-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"Balsamic Glazed Roast Beef\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-1940\" srcset=\"https:\/\/stirmypot.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/100_45231-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/stirmypot.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/100_45231-1024x768.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nFor the roast:<br \/>\n1 (3-4 pound boneless) chuck or round roast<br \/>\n1 C. beef broth<br \/>\n1 \/3 C. balsamic vinegar<br \/>\n2 Tbsp. soy sauce<br \/>\n2 Tbsp. honey<br \/>\n1\/2 tsp. red pepper flakes<br \/>\n4 cloves garlic, chopped<br \/>\n1\/4 tsp. pepper<\/p>\n<p>For the glaze:<br \/>\n1 1\/2 C. cooking liquid (from the roast, strained)<br \/>\n2 Tbsp. cornstarch + 2 Tbsp. water<br \/>\n3-4 Tbsp. balsamic vinegar<br \/>\n1\/4 C. brown sugar<br \/>\n1 Tbsp. soy sauce<br \/>\nSalt and pepper, to taste<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-indent:.25in;\">Place roast beef in a lightly greased slow cooker.  In a small bowl, combine the beef broth, balsamic vinegar, soy sauce, honey, red pepper flakes, garlic and pepper.  Pour over roast beef.  Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours, or until beef is tender.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-indent:.25in;\">Remove roast from slow cooker and slice or shred.  Cover and keep warm.  Remove 1 1\/2 cups of liquid from the slow cooker and pour through a mesh strainer into a medium saucepan.  Stir together cornstarch and water in a small bowl.  Whisk into saucepan, along with 3-4 tablespoons of balsamic vinegar, brown sugar and soy sauce.  Bring to a boil, whisking constantly, until mixture thickens.  Season with salt and pepper, to taste.  If desired, add additional water or cooking liquids for a thinner glaze.
